Two-Minute Drill

Make the late-game calls as a football coach. Read the defense, choose a play and manage downs, timeouts and the clock. Watch each play unfold, review your decision grade and try Daily, Practice or Survivor. Fictional teams and simulated estimates keep this original challenge self-contained.

Core loop

Study the score, clock and defensive look. Choose Run, Pass, RPO or Trick, select a play and passing target, then call it and watch the replay and decision grade. After an in-bounds play, choose a tempo or stop the runoff with a timeout or spike before your next call.

Goal

Complete the scenario: score a comeback touchdown, get into field-goal range and take the lead, or protect an existing lead until time expires.

Failure and restart

Interceptions, failed fourth downs and running out of time while trailing can end a drive. Play Again starts a fresh attempt; a loss ends the current Survivor streak.

Tips for a better run

  • Counter a blitz with a quick throw or screen; a loaded box creates opportunities for a deeper pass.
  • Read the pending runoff before the next snap. No Huddle saves time; Milk Clock helps protect a lead.
  • Use timeouts or a spike to cancel runoff, while remembering that a spike also costs a down.
  • Match your final call to the situation: a touchdown chase, field-goal finish and lead protection require different decisions.
  • Decision grades compare expected strategy before the outcome. A good call can still fail in the simulated play.
