What is Ride a Pet?
Ride a Pet is a single-player browser adventure: find eggs, race home to hatch them, and ride faster pets into new regions. Grow from a Snail to a Dragon across Meadow, Golden Dunes and Crystal Grove. This original browser edition has six species, earned coin upgrades and a small world to explore.

Play Ride a Pet with a keyboard or touch controls. On a phone, open the full-page player for more room. Progress lasts only for this visit: keep the tab open and pause for breaks. Refreshing or leaving can lose your ranch.

How do you play Ride a Pet?
Bring your first Meadow egg home
Start Ride a Pet on the Snail. Follow the golden arrow to an egg and press E or Interact. Carry it to the ranch nest within 55 seconds, following the home arrow. Deliver it and wait about three seconds for the hatch.
Ride the Bunny and unlock Golden Dunes
Your first Meadow pickup produces a Bunny. Choose Ride Bunny after hatching. Ride a Pet’s first gate needs 180 speed; the Bunny starts at 150. Earn 38 coins, then mutate it at the violet fountain to reach 213 and enter Golden Dunes.
Hatch a Horse and prepare for Crystal Grove
Bring a Dune egg to the ranch. The first Dune pickup produces a Horse with 242 speed. Its 95-coin mutation raises the displayed speed to 344, passing Crystal Grove’s 310-speed requirement. A mutated Unicorn also qualifies.
Find the Dragon, then finish your collection
Ride a Pet’s Crystal eggs hatch the Dragon. Bring one home for the legendary discovery, then keep playing. Meadow pickups alternate Bunny and Fox; Dune pickups alternate Horse and Unicorn. Collect missing species to complete all six.

Choose your Ride a Pet mount for the next gate. Speeds below show normal → mutated values, rounded as in the game.

Each pet can mutate once: speed increases by 42% and that pet’s income by 75%. Golden Dunes requires 180 speed; Crystal Grove requires 310. Coins are earned inside this game and are separate from paid Studio credits.

How can you improve at Ride a Pet?
Spend on a gate-opening upgrade first
In Ride a Pet, a mutated Snail reaches only 125 speed: too slow for the first gate. Save early coins for the Bunny. Later, a mutated Horse opens Crystal Grove without waiting for a Unicorn.
Save stamina for the return journey
Scout before picking up an egg: that is when the 55-second countdown starts. Use the minimap and home arrow on the return, sprinting in bursts. Ride a Pet’s timer stops when paused.
Your whole collection earns coins
Every owned Ride a Pet species earns coins during active play, even when not ridden. Menus pause income. Hatching an owned species gives a coin reward but does not add a duplicate pet or another income stream.
Treat a missed egg as a retry
An expired Ride a Pet egg disappears; your pets stay safe. Try another route. Species alternate by pickup order, so losing an egg can change the next hatch from Bunny to Fox, or Horse to Unicorn.

How do you open both gates in Ride a Pet?
Ride a Pet requires 180 speed for Golden Dunes and 310 for Crystal Grove. A mutated Bunny has 213; a mutated Horse has about 344. Sprint does not count. Equip a qualifying mount through Pets.
How do you get the Dragon in Ride a Pet?
Enter Crystal Grove with at least 310 mount speed. Carry a Crystal egg home within 55 seconds and deliver it to the nest. Ride a Pet lets you continue after the Dragon hatches.
Does Ride a Pet save after I close the page?
The embedded Ride a Pet has visit-only progress. Keep it open and use Pause; refreshing or closing can lose your ranch. Downloaded HTML can save locally when browser storage is available, separately from this session.
Why can’t I mutate my pet in Ride a Pet?
In Ride a Pet, stand near the violet fountain with enough coins and no egg carried or hatching. A pet can mutate only once. Already glowing means that mount is upgraded; select another pet.
