Learn the OpenGame workflow from first playable reference to a generated browser-game artifact. Choose the lightweight generator when exploring an idea, or move into Studio when you need a persistent project and production controls.

01 · Overview

Four surfaces, one creation loop

OpenGame is organized around one simple loop: understand a playable reference, turn your idea into a clear brief, generate inside the right workspace, and keep the result as a portable browser-game artifact.

Play first

Open a finished game first so controls, pacing, camera, and visual direction are concrete before you write a prompt.

Shape the brief

Use the homepage generator to turn a rough idea into a focused game brief without starting inside a complex workspace.

Build in Studio

Use Studio for project history, generation progress, iterative changes, previews, downloads, and publishing.

02 · Choose an entry

Use the lightest tool that fits the job

Free Generator and Studio are two entry points into the same product, but they are designed for different levels of commitment.

Free Generator

Best when the idea is still rough and you want a fast playable direction before committing paid Studio credits.

  • Guided, single-purpose entry on the homepage
  • Uses the separate Free Generator credit balance
  • Good for testing a mechanic, genre, or visual direction
  • Continue the selected direction in Studio

OpenGame Studio

Best when the concept is clear and you need a persistent workspace for generation, iteration, and delivery.

  • Thread and run history for ongoing game projects
  • Quick HTML and multi-file game bundle output modes
  • Preview, download, remix, and publication controls
  • Production runs use Studio Credits

03 · Workflow

From reference to playable build

The workflow is intentionally progressive. Each step removes uncertainty before the next generation run.

  1. 01PlayChoose a finished demo and notice its core loop, controls, feedback, and restart behavior.
  2. 02DescribeWrite the player experience first, then add platform, camera, input, and visual constraints.
  3. 03GenerateCreate the first run with the Free Generator or Studio, depending on the scope of the idea.
  4. 04InspectTest the playable preview and change one meaningful dimension at a time instead of rewriting everything.
  5. 05ShipKeep the result as a preview, download the artifact, or publish a public game page.

04 · Output

Preview, download, or publish

A successful run produces something you can inspect outside the chat. OpenGame keeps delivery actions close to the generated result.

Preview

Open the generated game in an isolated player and test its controls before sharing or downloading it.

Download

Download the generated HTML or game bundle and keep a portable copy of the artifact.

Publish

Publish an eligible HTML game to a public OpenGame URL with title, description, controls, and SEO content.
